It's official!

The semester is over. My finals are over. Peace out Provo.... :) I am so so so stoked to go home. Seriously, I've never been more excited to go home before this year. I love Texas.

To celebrate finals being over I had some awesome "Madi time!" I made homemade popcorn, watched Netflix, read a book, packed, and cleaned. It was pretty great. And that was just on Thursday night. I've already said goodbye to Provo, taken a nap, and started being domestic. I can already tell it's going to be a great break.

I cannot wait for all the Christmas traditions, family time, and hitting up some of my favorite Texas restaurants. And don't forget the playtime with my nieces and nephew. Texas here I come!!

Final countdown..

You get it? Because it's finals week and all?? It's been a busy finals week, as normal, but bearable. And it's almost over! You could say I'm pretty stoked..

1 final left
5 hours left to study
4 days until I got to Texas
7 days until Christmas
3 semesters of college left (I'm counting spring and summer terms as one semester)
1 year until I graduate and I'm a certified teacher!!

It has been a year since I was last home, so you could say I'm a little excited to go home. I've seen my parents and most of my siblings. But I'll get to finally meet my new niece! And simply be in my favorite state ever... TEXAS! My brother and I have already talked about all the places we want to go eat and things we want to do.. It's going to be awesome.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I'm so cool and I have the coolest life [false]

Pahhahaha. Let's be honest. I'm definitely not cool enough to be part of the Provo 100, also I don't even know what it is, nor do I care what it is or to be on it. I spend too much of my time talking about work and my coworkers (hahah, NEVER! I love them so it's cool that they consume my life), and not near enough about having an actual life/social life. And so here I am talking about work again... #161forlife #seriouslyworkismylife #andimokaywithit #wereafamily

Holler. Look what I made! Blog buttons for Women's Conference! I made the top one. They're so cute! I'm obsessed. You can find them here!

Holler, again. Look what else I made. Now you can give someone Women's Conference as a gift! I made the "Christmas Gift" one (with the wreath on it). It's adorable (not to toot my own horn, but really...) You can get those here.

Okay, enough with the shameless self-promotion/shout out to Women's Conference....

Seriously though, Women's Conference is one of the most amazing things I have been able to be a part of. I haven't really gotten to attend the talks/classes myself, but I have read a countless number of them. I have seen how the women who come act and seen the appreciation in their faces. I love getting to see so many women coming together to lift each other up, to better themselves, to be rejuvenated, and to continue working to become more like Christ. And that's why I don't like my job. I truly truly love it.

PS, tomorrow we have two work parties. We SO excited. (Also because It's Friday! Thanks Rebecca Black for all you've done for us and for the music and for the terrible phrases that are now ingrained into my vocabulary.) On the realz, the sister offices are getting together tomorrow to throw the most awesome Christmas pancake party ever. 161 + 169 = BFFs  #sisteroffices #the160sforlife

A short thought,

In college, sometimes you stay on campus for a veeeeery looooong time.
You might have a homework/studying parties with your siblings.
You'll definitely go to Denny's late at night and make wonderful friends.
And sometimes, an invitation to hang out with people means more than you ever knew it could.

Thanks a whole heap. It was truly appreciated.

Ps, I like making friends. It makes life more fun.

Let's be honest

...sometimes it's really just the little things that make your day.

In my favorite class we start each class with three things: a prayer, a scripture/spiritual thought, and good news minute. It was too funny the day after Thanksgiving break. Two girls announced they were pregnant (that makes 3 girls total!) and one girl announced that she was engaged. Then my great friend Kenzie is all chill like... "I made a music video at work the other day. It was hilarious!"

Thank you Kenz for showing us that we can be happy with our lives the way they are. We can appreciate the little things. Huge life changing decisions aren't the only exciting things going on in your life. Sometimes all you have going on are the little things. So celebrate them. Pshh let's be honest, I'll take any excuse to get ice cream or hot chocolate and have a party!

Today, I peeled my orange all in one piece. It was awesome. And now I'm going to eat ice cream. Par-tay!

It's December!!

Dude. Y'all. You. Hey! Can you believe that it is already December?!? Lets be honest, I feel like its still......oh like August? Maybe September. Maybe. But it's officially Christmas season!!! Which is only the most wonderful time of the year!

If you know me at all, you know that I've been listening to Christmas music for a while already, and watching Hallmark Christmas movies since even before that, so yeah...you could say I'm pretty stinking excited about it being December. Let's just say, I already have 4 Christmas music playlists. And I've had those for a few weeks. Maybe a month. Who can really remember. If you want to join in on the Christmas music happiness, here y'all go. I use Grooveshark at work, so that's where I've been making them. Also if you have any Christmas music suggestions pleaaase hit me up. My favorite song currently is "When Christmas Comes to Town" from the Polar Express soundtrack.

Also, join in on the Elf Yourself magic!! I always love making these, and if you didn't hear earlier, my boss made me and my coworkers one! It was the best.

And now I can go drive around and look at Christmas lights and drink hot chocolate and it'll be great. I've been wanting to go look at Christmas lights for the last little while, but sadly people haven't really had them up until now... :D I'm like a kid in a candy shop.

And now I can finally change my computer desktop to a Christmas one, because Christmas makes the best backgrounds!

ANNNND...There are only 9 days of classes left, plus a week of finals, and we're done with the semester. It's crazy awesome. I get to go to TEXAS 3 weeks from today. Super stoked.

Don't get me wrong, Thanksgiving is awesome. And seriously, this week off (all my classes on Monday got cancelled, and I don't have classes of Fridays--Tuesday was Friday classes) was glorious. It was just what I needed to get through this last little bit. I spent all week with my cousins. It was awesome. But it just made me want to go to Texas and be with my parents and siblings and nieces and nephew even more. I. Am. So. Stoked.
